Juan Hernández Díaz is a Colombian visual artist based in New York City. He examines objecthood, material agency, systems of value, states of (in)stability, and structural failure through objects, installations, and drawings. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture with honors from Universidad de los Andes and an MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University. Hernández Díaz has been awarded grants and fellowships from The New York Foundation for the Arts, Columbia University, and LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies. His work has been exhibited in Colombia and the United States in spaces including Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez, The Jewish Museum, Frost Art Museum, Wallach Art Gallery, and Rosenberg Gallery at Hofstra University, where his recent solo show ‘Priceless or (Gravity in Paradise)’ was presented. For 2022-2023 he is a Keyholder Resident at LES Printshop.
